Posting

Posts from your own stories, in the hours you choose

Each story you tick in the RSS feed gets a poster from your template, and each channel's queue spreads the posts across its own slots, so posting more of your stories doesn't mean making more cards by hand. A story needs a photo unless the template uses a solid background.

Auto-pilot starts with Friday 15:00–21:00 and Saturday and Sunday 07:00–21:00, every 15 minutes, and an organisation admin can change the days, hours and interval.

Comments

The comments that come with them

Posts you publish through Sence go out to a comment section Sence is already watching.

When a comment matches a rule you've switched on, Sence typically hides it within seconds and alerts whoever you choose. Replies are always sent by a person. Comments on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and your own site are read the moment they arrive. YouTube is checked every few minutes.

Whether a gap comes from choice or from staffing, Sence does the card-making and the scheduling, so how many of your stories reach each platform is up to your desk, within each platform's limits.

How we counted

How did we count?

The short answer

How does your newsroom's Facebook posting compare with its peers?

Compare it with the other news brands in its region, then switch to its country or to Pages of its size worldwide. Our comparison places 950 news brands' Facebook Pages from 72 countries among their peers, on nine measures over 12 weeks. Find your news brand to see where it sits among its peers and what reaching their median would take.

Dataset peers-2026-09-v4: the 950 news brands in our count, from 72 countries, that we could place among at least 10 peers.

Tell us if we've got your news brand's figures wrong.

Questions

Where do your news brand figures come from?

From public posts on each news brand's own Facebook Page, read through Meta's Graph API over 12 weeks to 20 September 2026. No data from Sence's own product is used, and no comment text is kept. Being counted says nothing about which tools a newsroom uses.

How are peers chosen?

On this page, a news brand's peers start as the other news brands in its region. You can switch to its country, or to Pages of its size and kind worldwide, in one of four bands of followers (under 100k, 100k to 1m, 1m to 10m and over 10m), with broadcasters compared only with broadcasters. Each median is the whole group's, the news brand itself included, and its rank counts it and the others with the figure, highest first, a tie sharing a rank. A group shows figures only with at least 5 Pages from at least three owners, none owning more than half, so where a country falls short the comparison stays with the region. These groups can include titles from a news brand's own group. On each news brand's own page, peers are news brands of the same kind with a similar number of followers, in a range ten times wide around the news brand's own, such as 20k to 200k. We look in its own country first, then its sub-region, its region and the world, and use the first with at least 10 peers from at least three owners, none owning more than half. In its country and sub-region we look for its own kind of title first, such as news agencies beside news agencies, before news publishers, digital-native newsrooms and news agencies together. Broadcasters are compared only with broadcasters. A news brand whose audience reaches beyond its country starts at its region. Titles from a news brand's own group are never its peers there.

Does posting more get more engagement?

This comparison sets each news brand's figures beside its peers'. It doesn't show what posting more would do for yours. Sence doesn't forecast what posting more will do for your reach, engagement or revenue. If you switch on link tagging, your own analytics can see the visits each platform sends.

Can we control how much goes out in the evening and at the weekend?

Yes. Auto-pilot starts with Friday 15:00–21:00 and Saturday and Sunday 07:00–21:00, every 15 minutes, and an organisation admin can change the days, hours and interval. Auto-pilot fills a channel's queue from your RSS feeds on the hours you set, with priority and excluded keywords. An organisation admin sets it up, only an approver can turn it on, and its posts go out without review. Pause each channel's queue and nothing goes out on it until someone resumes it; posts keep their place. Auto-pilot has its own Pause.
